There are 3 different methods to whiten teeth.

* Home Bleaching
* Office Bleaching
* Inner Whitening

What is Home Bleaching?

In this method, whitening plaques are prepared in the patient's mouth by measuring first. The patient applies certain amounts of whitening gel (10-15% carbamide peroxide) into these plaques at home. The patient keeps this plaque on the teeth in your mouth for the recommended period (3–5 days). In this method, the patient should protect the gums very well. The whitening gel should not overflow or come into contact with the gums. Overflowing gel should be removed with a toothbrush.

What is Office Bleaching?

It is a teeth whitening method applied in the clinic. It is a suitable method for patients with time constraints. It provides an effective whitening in a much shorter time. It is more expensive than the house type. The whitening gel applied on the teeth by the dentist is activated with the help of UV light or laser and the whitening takes place within 1-2 hours.

What is Inner Whitening?

First, the quality of the root canal treatment is examined. If the root canal treatment is not good, it is repeated. The filling in the tooth is removed. Whitening gel is applied to the opened cavity. The tooth is then tightly closed with a temporary filling. The most important side effects are damage to the tissues around the tooth and melting at the root tip. In some cases, the discolored tooth may whiten more than the neighboring teeth.
